The Sentry was erected and constructed in 2005 when I began creating environmental landscape sculptures from arrangements of natural stone. The water-worn river stones are varied and beautiful, yet partially hidden by overgrowth of the ground-cover I planted. Around it are potentilla, dwarf Japanese barberries, and a dwarf golden spirea. I need to get down on my knees and work around this sculpture which has been neglected due to the extensive work required to create the larger, encompassing sculpture garden.
